Travel Essentials for Bali

There’s no doubt that Bali has hot weather worthy of summer clothes, but if you are considering visiting their temples, which is highly recommended when traveling to Bali, you should take note of the requirements to enter these places, for example:  you should cover your knees and shoulders. Also, consider using lightweight cotton clothing, since the weather is extremely hot. Also try with quick dry clothes and pack simple, in case you need to, there’s always the option of buying locally. 

If this is not an option for you, do not worry! There are a lot of pharmacies nearby, but if you can, we recommend you to bring the simple necessities like ibuprofen or anti-diarrhea medicine. 

Your shoe selection will be completely up to the activities you have programmed, but there’s something that can be considered an essential: flip flops. Why? First of all: the hot weather. Also, some places might ask you to leave your shoes at the door, and the flip flops will make it way easier. There are lots of places where you can buy cheap flip flops all over the island and in case you need to go hiking, consider the proper shoes for those activities.

For some gadgets, the tropical weather is not the very best one. Make sure to only bring those electronics you REALLY need and avoid the risk of them getting lost, damaged or stolen.

Pretty obvious but make sure to pack all of the documents you need! Also make copies of some of them like your passport, travel insurance papers, receipts and carry them in a bag close to you, so you avoid losing them. Also, double check if you need to bring your vaccination records.

Protect other important documents such as credit or debit cards and passports.
